  • Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering

  •     We offer 2 degree programs in biomedical engineering; Master of Science (Biomedical Engineering) and Doctor of Philosophy (Biomedical Engineering). Our program provides a customized, flexible educational and research experience related to biomedical engineering (BME). We also provide the opportunities to present research at professional conferences, to explore your field in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary working environment, and to publish with your faculty adviser. In our program, we have a broad spectrum of research, you will learn from the principles to special topics and be trained to have professional academic skills as well as a leadership.

  • Aims of the Program

Through the well-designed coursework and intense research, our program develops students to have the following capabilities and characteristics
        1. Knowledge in basic science and applied science for biomedical engineering
        2. Knowledge and professional academic skills in research and analysis for biomedical engineering to be recognized in the national and international levels
        3. Ability to create new knowledge and innovation in medical technology
        4. Having moral, ethics and responsibility as well as teamwork

  • Research Topics in Biomedical Engineering

Our program has a wide spectrum of biomedical engineering research from the molecular level to the systemic level including basic and applied sciences. There are good multi-disciplinary collaborations in research that encourage you to work and learn. We also provide opportunities to bring your research to implement in clinical trials and a spin off to include entrepreneur and commercialized fields. We offer many topics in biomedical engineering such as
        • Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering: Utilization of biopolymers from natural resources to use as biomedical materials
        • Biosensors: Biosensors for medical, environmental and industrial applications
        • Biomechanics: Mechanical methods and study of structure and function of biological system including devices
        • Cardiovascular Engineering: Using engineering approaches to study and solve problems in the circulatory system
        • Medical Imaging: Image and signal processing combined with image analysis for medical applications
        • Molecular Bioengineering: A study at the molecular level to understand the mechanisms in biological systems, including therapy
        • Nanomedicine: Methods or processes of pharmaceutical compound administration for medical treatment

  • Program Activities

Our program provides not only academic but also recreation and social activities to enjoy, be enthusiast and to harmonize. There are several activities such as
