  • Philosophy


        Training doctors to be qualified in their specialised fields, skilled in research procedures, and management. Promote doctors to cooperate with other doctors, health staff, and others while maintaining their ethics.

  • Importance/Principles and Reasons


        The public health system is very essential as it is one of the four requisites. Also, specialized doctors’ skills in each field are important parts in such a system. Therefore, the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University aims to train specialized doctors to be efficient. The training is emphasized on producing specialized doctors who can apply their basic medical sciences and clinical knowledge to choose the correct and accountable treatment for patients. Also the doctors trained from the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University must have skills in holistic medicine. They have to consider the needs and rights of the patients. These specialized doctors must communicate with patients efficiently. They must be able to use information technology for information and be able to create new holistic knowledge for developing themselves, medical knowledge, and the nation.
        This training is not only about patient care and treatment, but also to arrange the following curriculum, philosophy, and learning experience. The Faculty of Medicine respectively organizes education that meets the standards and conforms to The Medical Council of Thailand’s specialized doctors training program. The Faculty also provides theoretical and practical evaluations, and supports a systematic research report.
        As a result, arranging the Higher Graduate Diploma Program in Clinical Sciences will improve the quality of ( Prince of Songkla University’s) specialized doctors, and training will help produce talented doctors who can maintain their ethics.

  • Purpose


        1. To have specialised doctors that are able to treat patients efficiently,and with a good outcome.
        2. To be skilled in research procedures, and to improve the quality of workand improve the standardization of research.
        3. To be righteous and maintain medical ethics.
        4. To be able to effectively communicate with all health staff and others.
        5. To be able to explore further knowledge and use self-learning through information technology and evidencebased medicine.

  • Qualification


        1. Graduating in Doctor of Medicine from the institutes approved by the Ministry of Education and obtaining a medical licence.
        2. Being qualified in their respected field, meeting the Medical Council of Thailand’s standard criteria.
        3. Being a selected candidate to be trained in specialised medicine in the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University.
        4. Other qualifications depending on the Curriculum Committee’s rights.

  • Student Selection


        Students will be selected from qualified candidates through a selection of interviews.

  • Study System


        Students will study a academic year of not less than 30 weeks,and without a semester seperation. The rules will follow the Prince of Songkla University’s regulations, related to Post-Graduate Education.

  • Study Duration


        Students will have 3 academic years to study, starting from the first semester, and will follow the Prince of Songkla University’s regulation related to Post-Graduate Education.

  • Enrollment


        Enrollment follows the Prince of Songkla University’s regulation related to Post-Graduate Education, Education Measurement and Graduation.
