  • Mission


        Our curriculum aims to produce the Master’s degree graduated students of medicine who are capable of complimentary assessments and management in Occupational Medicine. The students should have professional ethical and moral conscientious, capable of cooperation with other related professions. They must also be able to develop the new knowledge to efficiently prevent and manage the occupational health problems.

  • Objectives


       Capacity and capability of Occupational Safety and Health
        1. Have knowledge in occupational hazards and risks.
        2. Able to use the industrial hygiene’s equipment to evaluate hazards in the workplaces.
        3. Able to manage and control environmental risks in the workplace, using the industrial hygiene concepts, and suitable to the professional role.
        4. Able to do research and apply the knowledge in real situations after graduation.
        5. Have ethical conscientious, creativity, analytical skills and team work skills.

       Capacity and capability of the track in Occupational Medicine
        1. Have knowledge of occupational hazards and risks.
        2. Able to evaluate the health risks and be able to design, diagnose, investigate and refer for proper treatment for the patient with an occupational illnesses.
        3. Capable of management control relating to the environmental risk in the workplace, using occupational medicine concepts, suitable to the professional role.
        4. Able to do research and apply the knowledge in real life situations, after graduation.
        5. Have ethical conscientious, creativity, analytical skills and team work skills.

  • Application Requirements


       Track A (Thesis track)
        1. Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related tracks, for example; Medical Science, Nursing Science, Sciences or other related sciences and technologies. The transcript will be evaluated and required courses will be guided by the admissions committee.
        2. A GPA of not less than 2.5 (in scale of 4) is mandatory.
        3. A thesis statement.
        4. A national level project in occupational health development.
        OR
        1. Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related tracks, for instance, Medical Science, Nursing Science, Sciences or other related sciences and technologies.
        2. Have work experience in the field of occupational health of not less than 3 years. A letter of affirmation from the head of organization is required.
        3. Have two publications in the national level’s journals, or one publication in the international level’s journals.

       Track B (Coursework and thesis)
        1. Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related tracks, for exapmle: Medical Science, Nursing Science, Sciences or other related sciences and technologies. A GPA of not less than 2.5 (in scale of 4) is mandatory.
        OR
        1. Bachelor’s degree graduated in health sciences or related tracks, for instance, Medical Science, Nursing Science, Sciences or other related sciences and technologies.
        2. Have work experience in the field of occupational health of not less than 3 years. A letter of affirmation from the head of organization is required.

  • Selection of Candidates


        All candidates must fulfill the required criteria, before a written examination and interview. Acceptance for study will be judged by the admissions committee.

        The facilitators include staff from multiple faculties including Faculty of Environmental Management, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Medicine.
